How to Read the Glyco Harmony Supplement Facts Label

A label is the one part of a supplement that is written to a set format. Here is how to read this one, line by line, in about five minutes.

Quick answer

The Glyco Harmony Supplement Facts panel shows a 1 ml serving and 60 servings per container. It prints one amount, chromium at 0.7 mcg (2% Daily Value), and a 200 mg proprietary blend of 22 ingredients with no individual amounts. The suggested use is one or two droppers daily, and a dropper size is not stated.

Key facts about the Glyco Harmony label

  • Serving size: 1 ml. Servings per container: 60 (2 fl oz / 60 ml).
  • Amount printed: chromium 0.7 mcg, 2% Daily Value.
  • Blend: 200 mg, daily value “not established”, 22 ingredients, no individual amounts.
  • Suggested use: shake well, take 1 or 2 droppers full daily, place in mouth and swallow.
  • Storage: away from heat, light and humidity; store in a cool, dry place. No temperature is given.
  • Lot: GLY-26/GO-2503. A CoA reference exists, but the certificate is not published.

What does the Glyco Harmony label say?

Start with the front. It reads Glyco Harmony, Blood Sugar Support*, Dietary Supplement, 2 fl oz / 60 ml. The asterisk leads to a boxed FDA statement.

Then turn the bottle. The back carries the directions, a storage line, a caution panel, the Supplement Facts panel and the other-ingredients line. This is the part the law sets the format for, and it is the part a buyer can use.

Searchers often type glyco harmony supplement facts or glyco harmony label. Both mean this panel. We have read it off the bottle artwork and repeat only what is printed.

How do you read the Glyco Harmony supplement facts, step by step?

Five lines, five questions.
StepWhat to look atWhat it shows here
1Serving size1 ml
2Servings per container60
3Declared amountsOnly chromium: 0.7 mcg (2% DV)
4Proprietary blend200 mg total, 22 ingredients, no individual amounts
5Other ingredientsGlycerin, water, lemon extract, stevia, xylitol, preservatives, citric acid, natural flavors

Step one and two give you the supply. Sixty servings of 1 ml is a 60 ml bottle. Step three tells you how much of the one declared ingredient you get. Step four is the part to slow down on: a blend gives a total but not a split. Step five is where preservatives and sweeteners live.

Try this counting trick. Divide declared amounts by total ingredients. Here it is one of twenty-three. That ratio is the fastest way to judge how open a panel is.

What does the 0.7 mcg chromium line mean?

The panel says chromium, as chromium picolinate, 0.7 mcg, 2% DV. The 2% is correct against the FDA Daily Value of 35 mcg.

To judge the size, use the NIH figures our sources cite: trials of chromium and glucose used 1.28 to 1,000 mcg a day, and chromium supplements commonly give 200 to 500 mcg. So this line is below the smallest trial dose. We cannot say it does nothing. We can say it was never the size that studies used.

What does the 200 mg proprietary blend line mean?

Think of 200 mg as one pot with 22 ingredients in it. The label tells you the pot weighs 200 mg. It does not tell you how the weight is split.

The dagger beside the blend means a Daily Value is not established. That is normal for a plant extract. It is not a warning.

The panel footnote also says percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. That sentence belongs to the whole panel. It does not describe your own needs.

How much is one dropper full?

This is the most practical gap on the label. The panel is written for 1 ml. The directions say take 1 or 2 droppers full daily. The label never says how many millilitres a full dropper holds.

If a dropper holds 1 ml, then two droppers double every amount on the panel, and a bottle lasts 30 days instead of 60. If a dropper holds something else, the numbers shift again. Nobody can tell from the label. Our notes list this as not published.

It matters for money as well as for dose. A bottle is either a 60-day supply or a 30-day supply depending on a choice the label does not guide.

What do the cautions and storage lines say?

The caution panel says: do not exceed recommended dose. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing.

Storage says keep away from heat, light and humidity, and store in a cool, dry place. No temperature is printed. For a liquid, that is a small but real gap.

Two claims on the label are worth reading as they are written. It says made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, and it says the product was manufactured in an FDA registered facility. Registration is a filing with the agency. It is not approval.

What does the label not tell you?

  • The amount of any one blend ingredient, including gymnema, guarana and green tea.
  • How much caffeine is in a serving.
  • The size of a full dropper.
  • Any percentage of an active compound in any extract.
  • A manufacturer name, or a street address for the distributor.
  • An expiry date in our material. The lot and best-before are said to appear on the base of the bottle when the bottle shows them.
Medical note

This page is general information from a retailer. It is not medical advice. Glyco Harmony is a dietary supplement. It is not FDA approved, because no supplement is, and it is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, a heart or kidney condition, or you take any medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start any supplement. Pregnant or nursing mothers and anyone under 18 should do the same.

Frequently asked questions

What is the serving size of Glyco Harmony?

The serving size is 1 ml, and one 2 fl oz (60 ml) bottle holds 60 servings. The directions say to take 1 or 2 droppers full daily, but the label does not say how much a dropper holds.

How much chromium is in Glyco Harmony?

The label declares 0.7 mcg of chromium as chromium picolinate per 1 ml serving, which it states as 2% of the Daily Value.

What does proprietary blend mean on the Glyco Harmony label?

It means 22 ingredients are listed with one combined weight of 200 mg and no individual amounts. The buyer cannot see how the 200 mg is divided.

Does the label say how to store Glyco Harmony?

Yes. It says to keep it away from heat, light and humidity and to store it in a cool, dry place. No temperature is given.

Is there a certificate of analysis for Glyco Harmony?

A lot code (GLY-26/GO-2503) and a CoA reference (GLY-2503-26-GO) were supplied, but the certificate itself was not published, so we cannot call it proof of testing.

Does the label list an allergen statement?

No allergen statement was found in the material we hold. If you have an allergy, ask the order desk or your pharmacist before you buy.

Our view

The label does some things well. The claim is written the way a claim should be, the other ingredients are listed in full, and the caution panel is there. Those are real points in its favour.

It also leaves out the numbers that would let you judge the formula. Twenty-two ingredients in one blend, no standardisation and no dropper size make the dose a guess. We would like to see all three added.

Until they are, treat the panel as a starting point. Take a clear photo, show it to your pharmacist, and ask them to look at the licorice-derived ingredient and the caffeine sources.
